Centennial £22k Challenge

Glantawe Lions are undertaking a special challenge for Lions Club International Centennial Year 2017. We aim to raise £22,000 to support our community projects. This year we will be supporting the following:-

Dyfed Ward Burns Unit Children’s Christmas Party and Easter Eggs

Tree of light in support of:  Ystradgynlais Hospital Patients Fund; Dyfed Ward Burns Unit; The Vale Community fund;  Pontardawe  Mayor’s fund

Celebrating 100 years of Lions – Hosting two tea parties for the community groups that we support plus a day trip for our Coffee Morning members
5 Defibrillators for the Birchgrove area
Food parcel appeal, donating approximately 150 food parcels to families in need in our community
Donation to Lions Club International Eye Centre which helps people suffering from potentially blinding eye conditions

Donation to Lions Club International Measles initiative which helps fight against measles and rubella so that more children can be vaccinated worldwide
Additional donations to any people or groups in our community that ask for our help during the year
